Lesson 1 Reflection

1. What are you most proud of in your Lesson 1 presentation and why?
I am most proud of the way that I was able to engage the audience in the presentation by relating to them and seeing what they know about fashion so that I know what to say without confusing them.

2.  Questions to Consider
a) What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 1 presentation?

I would give myself an AE because I met all the requirements, and brought an engaging atmosphere to the presentation by using various props that gave the audience something to look at and get an idea of what I am teaching them about.

b) Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence using evidence from the Lesson 1 component contract

well, after looking at my graded rubric with Ms. LaRussa, I saw that I met every P requirement and took the presentation farther by using equipment like draping and designing tools as well as bringing in the garments that I worked on. I also noticed that I was able to get the audience exited.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 1?
One of the biggest points that worked for me was the hook activity, I used different design techniques and really got the audience thinking about what goes into making the clothes that they’re wearing.

4. (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve you lesson 1?

I would get into more detail on what goes into the creation and advertisement of a collection. I would also get into more depth about where the future of fashion is going.
